Hi

Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way of finding any free songs/videos/tv shows in the iTMS?

I know when you go to the store it has various links to free items but they are always changing as you move through the store.

Thanks

You are in luck, iTunes just added back this feature.

Scroll to the bottom of the main overview of the iTunes store. You will see a "Free on iTunes" box. It should have almost all free offerings there.

Interesting, however, I'm guessing you'd still be limited to what they specifically list in that category, and there's likely more free stuff hiding out there than just those few items from what I've noticed. For instance, there are definitely more free TV shows (premiere episodes, mostly), than what is shown in that list - you can find a few on the "TV Shows" overview page.

There is definitely no "search" feature, however, so the only other way, really, is to sort by the "price" column when browsing or searching through the library, but of course since there's not really an easy way to see the entire iTunes Store library, this can still be pretty limiting.

Yep, iTunes has a couple of freebie pages, but they're usually incomplete and even out of date. Guess not really in their interest to make it too easy. There is a new site, though, that has a fairly complete list: www.itsfreedownloads.com (http://www.itsfreedownloads.com). It has all of the links on one page and you can get updates via RSS or email.
