My desktop has my whole iTunes library on it and I just recently got internet on my laptop. How do I add songs onto my iPod which already has songs on it on a new computer without it erasing all the songs on my iPod? Is there a way to keep songs on it and add new ones from a seperate library?

There are a million answers, but it really depends on how you want to continue to manage your music across the two computers. You can not auto sync an iPod between to computers reliable, so if you are going to continue to manage music on both computers, your safest method of using iTunes is to set your iPod to manual update then you can just drag songs to your iPod as you see fit.
If you are going to use your desktop as your main computer for music, you can always transfer songs to the iPod as a hard drive as a bypass to take to your main desktop computer to then import into iTunes and then subsequently autosync, but it would require that you be sure to turn off automatic updating between the computers.
So it really comes down to what you want to accomplish with your one iPod and two computers.

When I disable auto-sync and then plug in my ipod it says that I can either erase my current library and add the songs from my laptop library onyl or transfer authorized music from my ipod to my new library.... How do I just simply add songs onto my ipod without losing anything on my old library?
