Awhile back, on ipoding.com, the moderators posted a belkin cupholder "alternative". They posted a few pictures and at first, I do not think anyone took note of it, but on the second glance, we all saw the cable...
THE CABLE.
Alright, so many of you may not know what the heck I am talking about so I will show you. First off, I want to give a *sorry to all those that have already bought the Belkin charger/aux in connector, because I believe this is the PERFECT aux-in solution.
Here is the photo of the cable:

NOTE: SiK.com owns iPoding.com hence the reason they are able to have that cable before the rest of us... *lucky.
Now, I have contacted ipoding.com and SiK.com about this several times because I am rather impatient. They tell me that they plan to announce the product around December 7th. That just happens to be a Sunday, so frankly, I doubt it will be that exact day... but hopefully I will be able to order this in time for Christmas.
Also, if you notice, SiK.com's store is down until December 6th, hmmm... the day before announcing the cable it re-opens? Possible, I suppose.
Also, they told me in an e-mail that the cable is called the iMP. Do not quote me on the capitalization of that little name, but... I know it's the imp.
Alright, please- if anyone knows anymore about this cable situation, please post. My friend and I are waiting, with credit cards in hand, to order this amazing piece.
Oh, sorry... I know this is a lot, but I just wanted to clear up a couple questions before you even have the chance to ask. This solution will be the best quality so far because:
1. It charges.
2. It connects directly to the aux-in plug on the head unit rather than having an "in-between" amplifier in the charger (like the Belkin does). Because of this, there will be no hissing noise, for there will be no amp to mess with the quality.
So, basically, this has to potential of being the best little thing to be so-far released for installing the amazing iPod in your car.
No, I am not some rep for SiK, just an excited consumer ready to hear some quality tunes in his car.
