New 8gig Nano - High pitch whine

Just got my new 8gb nano and I noticed that it emits a high pitched whine from the iPod itself. It happens even when the backlight is off (thought it might be the inverter for it, but I guess not).


Not really much of a problem, as it does not happen when the iPod is off (asleep) and when it is on I should have my headphones on!

Hold yours up to your ear and have a check!

If I put mine RIGHT next to my ear I notice a VERY faint EL type whine. I've heard much worse from other devices.

So far, my 8GB Nano has been flawless. It is ALOT more durable then my first iPod, the iPod Nano when it was first released.
