Hello all! I'm a Spanish Instructor and I've been given a pilot program to use iTunes U in the classroom; I'm one of 4 instructors in my university who has this privilege and if I don't make good use of it, the powers that be will probably think it's a waste of time and scrap the project. The problem is, I'm really not sure what to do with it! Does anyone out there have classes that utilize iTunes U? How do your instructors use it? Actually, so far I've only put audio and video from the textbook on there, but it seems such a boring use of a great program. Any ideas?

Also, if there are any professors out there who use it, how can you make it so that students can listen to content without having access to downloading it? I would like to make current music from different countries available, but I'm afraid I would be treading in copyright waters!

Wow I've never heard of iTunes U so that sounds pretty cool.

As for listening to music without downloading, the closest I can think of is something that is Podcast related...maybe only put samples of songs on. Make sure the songs are low quality, and sound kind of, well....crappy. Generally people won't want to download crappy audio files.

It seems like a cool idea but I just don't know enough to help you, and I don't think this forum gets enough help....maybe contacting Apple or posting this in a different section of the forum would help more?

I think it would be cool if you could link to Spanish-language podcasts from the page. Maybe Spanish versions of Audiobooks, record your lessons and offer them for download there. Those are all I can think of right now.
