hey im from australia nd i thought that us students got education discounts on ipods??? chrcking the ipod store ive found that this isnt the case??? has this always been the case?

When these new iPods came out, the university discounts disappeared for some reason.

they did have them in Aus, a friend got one but maybe Apple wants a little more profit now . ?
But they never had free engraving on the edu discount now they do - big deal :(

Apple stopped ipod education discount nation wide. it's only mac now. why? just look at the price of new nano, and ipod video. they're already $50 down, increased capacity twice. what do you want? just buy it.

they want the discount as well , of course. Apple didn't lower their profit margins to reduce the ipod price they are buying parts and making them cheaper.
