I sort of gave up when I couldn't beat one of the levels and because it was taking forever to end the game but my high score is 239460.

I played zuma on my friends iPod at the football game

then I said, "you paid ten bucks for this crap?"

i think I got 2500 points, cuz I played for like 30 seconds

I just beat iPod Zuma for the first time. I ended with 12 extra lives and a score of 1,512,780.

I have a question about RockBox. When I go to the website I can't find where to download it. Also, the pokemon game, is it the full game? (Questions for mrdantownsend, saw all this on your website, it's very well done by the way)

Google is your friend.

You can download a free trial of the PC game. It's basically just like that on the iPod, but instead of using your mouse to aim, you use the scrollwheel. Easy, huh?

how long did it take to beat on average post it! i need it for the drive to florida 21 hours! and so far a i have mini gold/texas holdem/tertris/bejweled so i may just purchase zuma and cubis!

this thread came up in a google search. I'va had zuma since apple announced games. I've had it reset due to restores countless times. I've also recently had ALOT more free time on my hands.

All of this has lead me to beat the game for the first time w/ 2,110,030 points.

I'll make sure to keep goin' and hopefully beating increasing that number a few times over.

my highscore went up to 3060990, apparently i died once, otherwise i'd hit the 3 100 000 mark... but the world record goes higher and higher... i guess I'm only B league?

my goal is 20k points per round. i make the most points on lvl 3 6 9 and 12. you need around 150 better than 20k per round to get 3.5+ (Ex. 21k after lvl 1 = +1, 24k after lvl 2 = +5, 10k for lvl 3 = -5 for the total) is how i look at it

im worst at lvl 2.1-2.3 and often restart my game cuz i mess those up. i end up with around 105 after the first 5 but during those next 3 lvls i get like 6-14k sometimes and it just completely ruins my score

ive tried taking pics but its hard getting it in focus. im kind of stuck at 3.51. havent been close lately. kinda in a slump i guess lol. my top 5 is all 3.4+

First of all, newer iPod aren't compatable with newer iPods, and likely won't ever be.

And second, Peggle, Zuma, Phase, and iQuiz are more fun than anything I ever played on Rockbox, other than Pokemon. They also look, sound, and function much nicer than Rockbox or Linux games.

Now, yes. Didn't when I checked last. But it must be an updated version of Zuma, since the one I purchased in Oct 2006 does not sync to my iPod. I contacted iTunes support about it... I'll let you know if I'll have to buy the game again, or just be glad with Klondyke ;(

I don't have my exact high score available, but I can tell you I get my 37th life at stage 12-7. After doing some math, that would make my score at least 3,500,000. (50K for each life at the end of the game plus the original score needed to earn those 34 extra lives [since you start with 3].)

Here's how I like to pace my scores:

Stage 1 - 100,000 (20K a level)

Stage 2 - 200,000 (20K a level... it's hard to reach that from levels 2-1 through 2-3, but 2-4 and 2-5 make up for it)

Stage 3 - 330,000 (26K a level) - Stages 3, 6 and 12 tend to be the most "profitible" stages

Stage 4 - 450,000 (20K a level)

Stage 5 - 600,000 (25K a level) - One of the more difficult quotas to meet. If I'm short, I know I can make it up in stage 6

Stage 6 - 750,000 (25K a level) - The biggest points bounty until stage 12

Stage 7 - 900,000 (21,429 a level) At this point, I'm looking to gain at least 150,000 per stage.

Stage 8 - 1,050,000 (21,429 a level)

Stage 9 - 1,200,000 (21,429 a level) Though it's the same as Stages 3, 6 and 12, for some reason, the points aren't as high

Stage 10 - 1,350,000 (21,429 a level) This, on the other hand, earns more points than stages 1, 4 or 7.

Stage 11 - 1,500,000 (21,429 a level)

Stage 12 - 1,675,000 (25K a level) Huge points this round

Stage 13 - Gravy. I'm not sure how many points I earn this round. Plus, there appears to be no time bonus, although, on occasion, the game will give me another extra life even if I don't cross the 50K threshold. This tends to happen if I'm within 10K of it after the remaining space bonus is tallied.

If you did the math, this score would actually put you just shy of 37 lives (after the 50K per life end game bonus of course), so I obviously need to raise my quotas. My current game is going quite well. At the last point I saved, I've entered Stage 9 with 25,000 points higher than my goal. With luck, I could finish with 38 lives!

I hit 32,500 once. Don't remember the stage, but my audible "whoa" made for an awkward moment on the subway.
