Any new sony earbuds coming out soon?

I was wondering if sony was going to update the mdr-ex71sl's anytime soon?
I only ask 'cause I don't want to spend the money for christmas then find out a new model has come out and they've dropped in price.

If sony isn't coming out with a new model anytime soon, then I might as well plunk some money down for 'em.

One more thing, are the Aiwa hp-v600's (I think that's the model number at least) still available in the US or Canada?

The 71's have only recently replaced the 70's. That is not say that Sony won't introduce the "72's" just after you decide to buy the 71's.
That is technological progress I'm afraid...

Let me ask you this then.
How long have the 71's been out for (I guess I shoulda just said that in the first place).
I wouldn't care if they released a new version in a couple of months, but if they released the 71's early Jan of this year, then they should have the 72's out soon. If it was some time mid-year, then I might as well pick up a pair.

I have a feeling they have been out since April/May 03 - a quick look back through the forums seem to confirm that was around the date of the upgrade of the EX70's.
