View Full Version : Your Final Request
This came up in conversation over coffee and doughnuts -
If you had to listen to one last song, what would it be?
(Almost like a deathrow last meal....)
State your last song and the reason for the choice.
I am still thinking about it, but my initial answer was a long classic piece (e.g. 1812 Overture - cheaty answer I know!)
Sorry Kirk, late edit - why Big Balls? (I've got a feeling I may regret asking that!!! :D)

"Haunted" by Poe, perhaps...
Or, maybe "Something I Can Never Have" by nine inch nails.
Possibly, "That no-good b- - - - ruined my life" by CC Razool. ;)

The Beatles- A Day in the Life
I always was intrigued by Lennon's haunting wail on that song. It has been my favorite for years.

"One" - Metallica
This was one of their greatest songs. It just seems like a last song to me. Take a listen and you'll understand. :)
Kurt, she didn't totally ruin your life, did she?

A-heh, yes you shall. :D Its 'cause as the tune states, 'they swing to the left and they swing to the right'. There's quite a bit more. Its just funny in a crude sort of way and very AC/DC. That tune was popular about the time I was of age to become enamored of that sort of thing.
Another in that theme is 'Big Ten Inch' by Aerosmith.

I love the choice of "Haunted" by Poe. Those of you who don't have that album, do pick it up! Brilliant song! Great album.

I agree - that is a wonderful album, although I'd be hard pressed to pick just one song off of it.....
Hmmm. My pick(s)?
"I Love Myself Today" - Bif Naked
or
"Succulent" - Bif Naked
or (quick genre switch!)
"Right In Time" - Lucinda Williams
or
"Car Wheels On a Gravel Road" - Lucinda Williams
or
"2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten" - Lucinda Williams
or was I only supposed to pick one? :D
