If anyone has come up with an in-car solution for the 2001 Sunfire Pontiac i'd be very interested to hear it.

I really hate my FM transmitter and I would like to know a good in-car solution for my Sunfire, something that will give me digital quality audio.

Thanks in advance.

There are PIE adapters for GM cars. I used the GM9 Aux for my 2000 Pontiac Firebird and worked great because you plug it behind the car stereo, at the auxiliary input that is used to adapt a CD changer; all you had to do was switch to AUX instead of playing the car's CD. That'd gives you "digital quality" audio (way much better than fm transmitter).

For Sunfires 2000-2005, you can use the GM12 Aux adapter (http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piegm12aux.html), according to the link.

I also have a '98 Cavalier and the GM9 Aux was supposed to also work with it, but it didn't... so I don't guarantee the GM12 Aux will work on your Sunfire...

good luck!!
