hello everyone i dont know which forum to put this so mods move it if youd like.... i have the new clarion VRX765VD that works with ipods. when i hook up my 5 gen ipod video noting happens but when i hook up my cousins ipod min everything works fine... i have tried installing the new update for my ipod but could still couldnt get it to work... anyone have suggestions? thanks again

make sure you are using the CCA673 ipod cable. I spent a few months tracking down the right cable. I tried 3 different cable sent to me by Crutchfield until they finally got it right.
The touchscreen DOES NOT CONTROL the video functions of the ipod. With the Ipod connected press "menu" on the touch screen, (the ipod must be left on music menu not video, pictures, etc.) or it will not work.
Holding down the menu for approx. 2 seconds the touchscreen will go blank and now you have to manually play a video from the ipod just like you are wathcing it with headphones. The video will then be displayed on the touchscreen (make sure you have your tv out setting on and that the output type matched on your clarion deck to the ipod.) I forget the the output types but theirs only 2.
I was very dissappointed with this as Clarion said they had full Ipod vidoe integration but you can't control the video functions from the ipod from the touch screen. You can just as easily input the ipod thru the extra a/v inputs of any in dash dvd player. I bought this deck because they claimed the best ipod integration.
Overall I am very dissapointed with this deck. a bit bulky and does not auto open/retract when turning my car on/off.
