Hi
I have the 20Gb iPod. I use windows XP and iTunes. Ihave the latest version of the iPod driver 2.1 and the latest version of iTunes. When i try to copy files to my pod it copies some files and then I get an error messege, "an unknown error occured (-69)". But there is nothing wrong with my files because if I try to copy them again there might not be a problem... anyone who can help?

Please help!!!

maybe its the amount of files your trying to do at once, a few people have moaned about 2.1 I have posted a poll in the polls section so far most votes are for 2.1

What firewire card are you using. This sounds suspiciously like a firewire card issue.

Here's a way to test it.

Make sure Disk Mode is enabled in iTunes. To do this, click on the iPod Options icon in the lower right, and Enable Disk Mode.

Next, open up My Computer and make sure the iPod shows up there as a drive.

Now, copy a bunch of MP3s to the iPod drive, like 100 or so. See if you have any problems. These files won't play, but this test will let you know if your firewire is compatible w/the iPod.

If they copy over w/o error, delete them from the iPod. If you get a CRC or Disk-Write error, you should get a better firewire card. Adaptec 4300 and OrangeMicro cards are good.
