I bought an 30G about a month ago. At the same time, I bought a Newertech Roadtrip!+ FM transmitter, based on the review it got here. I've only used it a couple of times, and when it works, it is nearly crystal clear; much better than the tape adapter in my other car. However, it is only clear for 5 seconds at a time. Then it goes to what can only be described as a very loud tape hiss sound, which overpowers the music. If I touch the center button on the click wheel, pause and then hit play, or unplug the Roadtrip from either the dock port or from the cigar lighter and plug it back up, it immediately stops for five seconds, then starts again. So, is the problem the fm transmitter or the dock connector on my Ipod? I don't have problems syncing the ipod.
