i just got my ipod and i'm using it with my windows me computer. ever since the first time i plugged it up to my computer using a firewire cable, i get "do not disconnet" displayed on the ipod's screen. i left it plugged in for over 36 hours and i still had that message flashing on the screen. after i disconnected it i check to see if any mp3s transferred, but nothing had transferred. has anyone heard of this problem?

You might want to consider a search. The iPod will always show "Do Not Disconnect" when connected to your PC. It's a warning not to disconnect it w/o first unmounting the iPod.
What are your using to transfer tunes to the iPod? Can't help you with that since you didn't give any details.

Also Very Important, make sure the Ipod Software you installed is on the C: drive and not any other. Make sure that if you have virus protection and or a firewall (like Zone Alarm) that it's shut off too. Good luck
