Problem With Sending Music Back to My Hard Drive

Im new to this forum and i was just hoping someone could help me with this problem im having.

The Other day i accidentally wiped the music from my computer when clicking yes on itunes, when it asked me if i wanted to send my music to the recycle bin, most of it is gone, but it is on my ipod. I;ve tried using podutil but that just closes down as soon as i click the copy button to send the music back to my computer, i downloaded a copy of ephpod as well, and this is where my problem is, Ephpod does copy my music back, but it simplifies every file so it just has the name instead of all the details i had in before, im desperate not to have to copy everything back to my hard drive off cd, and i really dont want to have to go through all the files renaming all the properties in them, is there any way, by using ephpod or any programs that do the same task, any way i can keep all the details there when copying them back to the computer?

Somebody please help me, im a desperate music lover missing his tunes from his computer.

The "details" are there. They are just in the tags of the mp3s. Get a good tagging program (e.g. id3-tagit or tag&rename) and use their rename files from tags feature to rename the files.

The file name's really don't make a difference, if you import the tunes into a good media jukebox (like iTunes or MC9) the player will read the tags and you'll see all the information there.
