What is the best sounding FM transmitter on the market?

would be nice if it also charged the ipod (30g vid)
doesnt need an aux. output.

kensington claims to have the best.
Ive also heard that monster's has high sound quality too.
goose neck design is super sleak, but I would sacrifice that for sound quality

I cant run a new deck, nor does my deck have aux in (2006 pontiac g6 with monsoon)

thanks!

i have a kensington transmitter. the one that charges your ipod too. it works amazingly well. i use the default 107.9 which is already being used in my area and the music from my ipod comes in crystal clear. it does however put to much sizzle on the s's and ch's. but by turning on the treble reducer in the equalizers it totally fixes that problem. and i mean totally.

Kensington makes more than one FM transmitter with a charger. The one most people recommend (and the one I definitely recommend) is the Kensington Digital FM Transmitter (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fus.kensington.com%2Fhtml%2F6402.h tml&ei=ZpL_RMv-OJacoQK1gNniDQ&sig=__MyjqItTjcpo4EY0-tm0j8BYgTus=&sig2=27a-BIS-kkhHWrLCcnpKRg).

The Kensington RDS FM Transmitter (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fus.kensington.com%2Fhtml%2F11206. html&ei=v5P_RL_ZG4f4owKq5dX8DQ&sig=__IJRNt3KcLSfxGAbMfOwn0UulWFs=&sig2=WwMiwgWw17GF3UQhwWrfEw) seems really cool as well, since it sends song and artist info to the screen of your RDS enabled car stereo. Unfortunately the reports on sound have been mixed so far, with not enough user reports to be sure.

Were you joking? I can't tell. If not, his question seemed totally cool to me. If you were joking, then ignore this message.

How does the Kensington Digital compare with the Belkin TuneFM that I now see on the Apple Store site? I have read somewhere that the Belkin has a very powerful transmitter. I'm in the Detroit area, so I need something pretty strong, and that preferably will go down to 87.9.

the kensington i have goes down to 87.9 if you hold down the left to preset buttons while changing stations

I just got both the Kensington & the Transpod to compare. They're both very good and my choice is maybe a personal one but the Kensington just takes the prize.
The Ken is the LCD version and charges my ipod mini.It fits nice and tight in the power socket in the centre armrest box of my Navara pickup. For some reason it's a slack fit in the other two sockets in the lower facia just by my left knee (RHD truck in the UK!)So the cable comes out nicely from under the armrest lid and the ipod sits in one of the cup holders. The whole thing is easy to hide out of the way when leaving the vehicle. The sound is excellent and the sibilance bearly noticeable.I tried the EQ on the ipod on both small speakers and reduced treble.Think it helped a bit but not sure.Try it yourself.Good cable length means you can pick the ipod up and change stuff if you need to.Not as easy to pull it out of the cradle on the Transpod.Transpod was good but I was always worried about it falling out of the power socket and my ipod mini rattled a little in the cradle which really drove me nuts. The cradle was fitted with the mini adapter but the fit isn't just tight enough for me.It took me a while to figure out the little ring that comes with it to make a tight fit in the power socket. This did work quite well but still worried me.
All in all, the Kensington gets my vote for sound quality and practicality.I'm not really bothered about the cradle. I'd rather not have stuff on show.
