I am looking to get an ipod for my girlfriend for xmas. One important fact is to be able to use it in her car.
She has a 99 Golf with a Sony CDX-4160 single cd in the dash. She has no CD changer or anything installed.
I have read posts about modules you can buy to mount it to the cd changer hook up in the trunk. But will it work with the aftermarket deck or stock only?
I have read posts about Sony players and needing some other module instead of using RCA's directly.
Basically I dont have access to tearing apart her car to check it out ahead of time, and I want to spend the least that I can (without getting a FM dealio).
Anyone familiar with that deck and know what I would need? I can't seem to locate the manual for the deck...I dont even know if it is a cd controller or not...
