Recognised in Windows, but not iTunes!

After restoring my shuffle, when i plug it into the PC, windows shows me the IPOD folder, which, by the way, is empty(shouldent there be some files there, a folder called ipod_control that contains the files necesarry for the shuffle to operate ?) well anyway, the problem is iTunes doesnt detect the shuffle at all.

My guess is its because its missing those files that are normally in a hidden folder, but how can i get those files back on the iPod? ive tried the ipod updater but it tells me its restored the iPod yet the files arent there....any help?

Ok well after thinking it for a while, ive come to the conlcusion that the problem is that the shuffle is missing those files it needs to operate. i think this is because i formatted the shuffle using windows (right click/format). is there any way to change it back? and get those files the shuffle needs again? ive tried the ipod updater but that dosent work...

ipod updater should work.....use the 'restore' button
