I currently own Koss PortaPros but I want to get some isolation headphones without breaking the bank. How do the Sennheiser PX200s compare to the PortaPros? I personally think the PortaPros sound great but I've never heard the PX 200s. They seem like a great deal at $33 (www.ecost.com). All opinions welcome.

I own the portapros and recently purchased the px200 for exactly the same reason - looking to replace my PPs with some equally portable cans that offer some isolation. The px200s did not disappoint me. I recommend them.
I also own the koss ksc35 and think they sound better than the PPs - more balanced and less bass-bloat.
I'd rate the px200 as having better sound than my PPs but I think my ksc35 sound best but only marginally and the ksc35 don't offer any isolation (rating hi->lo: ksc35 -> px200 -> PP)
The px200 sound very good. Excellent mids, decent bass that is NOT bloated like the PPs and slightly rolled off highs (highs are there, just not in your face). They offer a bit of isolation and are very portable. They also look cool in and out of their hard case.
I bought them from ecost.com for about $35 and at that price you can't go wrong. Couldn't see buying them at $50 and $60 when they first came out though.
Just go get them.

Thanks for the info, Sandman. Have you ever compared the Sennheiser HD 497 or the HD 212 against the PX200? I'm also looking for some cans that I can plug into my guitar gear (Line 6 PODxt - http://www.line6.com/PODxt/) and plug into my home stereo.
The HD 497s and the HD 212s are $39 each at Amazon.com right now. Killer price and I've heard good things about them but I've never "heard" them.
