Just bought a 40gb iPod at BB. Early Christmas present to myself :-). Been perusing the forums quite heavily, which are a wealth of info, but haven't seen/found answers to this as I've been looking into audible.com and the iPod.

If I'm using iTunes (MAC 4.1 (52)) for audible.com purchases, I don't use an account that I have with audible.com. Seems that purchases are full price from the iTunes store, and limited to what Apple.com has listed.

I have signed up with audible.com for the '1 month free' program. Looks like I have many more choices.

Now...I've not started the process to buy a book yet....so....if I buy something via my audible.com account, and have it DL to my MAC that I've set up for running iTunes and the iPod....what do I do then? Is it as simple as an 'import' and point to the file? And then, the DL'd audible.com file will show up in the 'library' and I can make a playlist?

Just trying to figure out the 'flow' of using an audible.com account to move the file to the iPod via iTunes...

Thanks much for any help.

Figured it out.

If I have iTunes open, while I download an audible.com file (with Safari), I get a confirmation window (from audible.com) to authorize the file (for iTunes) upon completion of the download. Then, the file shows up in my iTunes library.

Easy.
