AUX in car and ipod

so my stereo has the aux jack built in, so i bought the dual-sided 3.5 mm plug or w/e and used the ipod to control everything. now, it stopped working. it was getting worse to the point where u'd have to wiggle the cord to get the connection to be good, and then it got gradually worse to the point of no longer working. i know monster sells a double sided one and i heard it was pretty good. the one i was using was a crappy Fry's electronics one for 50 cents. anyways, does anyone sell a cable with one side the normal audio jack and the other the ipod dock connection. i heard sound quality is better when going through the dock connection on the bottom of the ipod. thanks

is the double sided headphone jack by Monster any good? also, does anyone sell a cable with one side the normal jack and the other side the dock connector plug?

SOME of the newer, Sony headunit comes with this cable and you can actually flick through the songs on the headunit

Would doubt that (although im no expert) you would be able to CONTROL your ipod through the headunit with one of these cable that uses a 3.5mm Jack, although have a look about eBay and Google Seach 3.5mm to iPod Connection or something along the lines of that and see if you come up with anything usful, i'll also have a look for you now ;)

The belkin charges your ipod and has an audio output jack. where you can plug a 3.5 mm mini stereo plug. The big advantage of the belkin is that you can adjust it's volume to match your car's radio volume, and perfectly deal with any volume requirements of your aux in. You can't do that with most others. The belkin will also shout off your ipod (via pause mode) when you turn off the engine (provided your car turns of the power outlets at that time.)
