Not sure which iTrips those are, but the new ones with bottom dock connection did not impress me. I have the Belkin TuneFM (for 5G). I though I would be returning it the same day I bought it, but I think I'm keeping it.

It does a decent job, really. Once I found some good frequencies for it, I get pretty much NO static at all. I do not live in a metro area though. The FM dial is crowded where I live but there are several good gaps.

The sound is not great, a little worse than a good strong FM radio station, but it is certainly good enough to be enjoyable. The great thing about the TuneFM is you can use it with the detatchable charger, or unplug that and use it anywhere there is a radio. This is a great feature if you travel and can't find an aux input on radios, boomboxes etc and don't want to lug portable speakers with you.
