Based on the recommendation of the guy at Best Buy. I think it is this model: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7652792&type=product&id=1141762608894

So I plugged in the IPod to the usb port and the thing works on its own format. I have to use the annoying folders that IPod puts music into, I can't search for music, it always starts at the same song, etc etc.

Is there any way around this? or am I screwed and need to get a new head unit or something along those lines? The guy at Best Buy told me this was the best way to use my IPod. Supposedly superior to the headphone jack thing. Any help would be great.

I just got a similar JVC model, but I also got the iPod adapter that plugs into the changer port on the JVC. When you connent the iPod this way, you can navigate the playlists and browse by artist, etc, just like you would on the iPod, only without a clickwheel and on a smaller screen. Works pretty good.
