I?ve had my Ipod Generation 2 for more then 6 months now. During that period I?ve changed my PC. My Ipod works fine on my old PC, but the new one I got 2 weeks ago, well I have a few problems. Every time I boot-up my PC and open windows, a error pops up and says ?IPOD Watcher can?t launch. IPOD Service is not running.? It?s getting on my nerves. Plus when I plug my ipod to my firewire it does open MusicMatch like it did on my old PC.

Most likely it?s my PC hardware that having a conflict with it. Here are some of my PC stats that may make the difference.

OS: Windows XP Pro
Processor: Pentium 4 3.06ghz HT
Sound Card: Creative Audigy 2 Platinum External
Motherboard: Asus P4C800 Deluxe
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb

uninstall all the ipod software, musicmatch software and the ipod plugin for mm.

reboot, and reinstall everything.

Actually, I recommend uninstall all the Apple software. It's not needed. That will get rid of the iPodsrv and ipodwatcher errors.

As far as having connection problems, that's probably related to the Audigy firewire card, they are very hit and mis and don't generally work well with the iPods.
