Hi, hope fellow members can help
I have a Alpine CDM 7874RB, trying to connect ipod via kca-4201 ipod box, HU is M BUS.
Been told that it should work, but no go.
The kca-420i ipod box is connected to the H U via Ai-net to M BUS adaptor.
When pluged in it charges the ipod, it initalises, ALPINE appears on the ipod screen. but cannot seem to control ipod via the H U or get any music out of the connected ipod.
Audio shops just want to sell me a new H U, and just say should work if it has CD CHANGER CONTROLS.
I have the cd changer controls but have not tested the cd changer functions.
When connected the source button just goes Radio to cd, nothing else.
Do not want to buy a new H U as the ipod is the only problem
I know there are other ways to connect an ipod, but want to use the H U to control the ipod, also has anyone used the AUDIOLEADs M BUS to ipod connection lead( MBUS to direct link lead to main ipod data port)? if the H U is a no go.
Any ideas???
