Hey, any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated:

I have a new 5G 30gb Ipod, which completetly crashes windows, whenever I try to read/write files on it.

It was working fine out of the box, and I had about 10 gb music/vids on it, but due to some issues with podcasts appearing in wrong folders I decided to wipe it, and start over. I downloaded latest iPod Updater (2006-06-28) and iTunes, and restored my pod to factory settings, and added newest version of firmware (1.1.2).

THEN the problems started:

Whenever I add a large amount of files to the pod OR copy large files from its harddisk to my PC it completely crashes Windows (XP SP2) - my PC powers off and restarts without warning.

On restart I get the option to submit error to Microsoft, and the following details:

"Error caused by a device driver" - link (http://oca.microsoft.com/en/response.aspx?SGD=b3651f31-3958-479e-abab-aee952d46985&SID=10)

It crashes if I try to add about 3 or more albums at once, or download files bigger than around 500 mb. It does manage to upload/download if I only select a few files, so I'm guessing it has to do with some kind of process getting stuck for too long, if uploading large amount of files. This was not the case before adding latest iTunes/Firmware. :shake:

I tried reinstalling the ipod firmware 3 times, but it keeps crashing when I start to upload files again.

I have latest USB drivers for my system.

NB: This issue was discussed but not solved in this thread
