well i just got a new computer, so i copied all my songs from my ipod through clicking on it on My Computer, going through ipod_data and then copying and pasting the songs from folders f01-f49 or whatever it is (i've done this before without any problems so i dont think this has much to do with it?)
then i just put everything into my itunes library like i did once before when i moved my songs to a different hard drive on my computer and i went to reupdate my 4G ipod. last time it just updated and all the songs were there and there were no problems, but this time it went up to song 19 and it just stopped. When i played the songs on my ipod it would play for about a second without sound and it'd go to the next song. After that i updated it again, and this time the full songs were in the ipod, but still only 19.
So i restored it wth the ipod updater and i tried again, this time it looked as if it would update everything, but once it reached 1009, it stopped. The whole songs were updated into my ipod though. Then, i restored it once more, thinking it would get better, but now it only updates till 8 songs and when it stops, an error message comes up saying " The iPod "*name here*" cannot be updated. The disk could not be read from or written to."
could someone help me and tell me what i should do with simple instructions if possible? im not the biggest electronics whiz.
