Well the time has come. My POS $20 dollar Koss headphones are dying on me. Suprisingly they held for about ~1000 hours of use(atleast). Not bad but meh, i'm upgrading now. I am asking you guys to point me in the right direction as i'm new to headphones and such. I really, really need want them to be fullsize ones.
I use headphones for the following..
Online gaming, listening to music anywhere from NWA to Avenged Sevenfold, so they need to be good for all around not just deep bass, etc.
Budget- Would love to keep it around 50-60.
Brands- Hit me. I know I won't be able to afford any Sennheiser's or anything like that. But I really do want quality, so keep that in mind.
Suggestions? Oppinions? Comments? Just ask :)

If you can splurge an extra $10:
Short list:
AKG K81DJ ($69)
Grado SR60 ($69)
Those are the best cans in the full sized range currently under $100 IMHO
The AKG's have better bass

what koss headphones do you have? they might have a lifetime warranty
the grado sr60 is one of the best deals in headphones. imo, no other headphone brand can rock as much as a grado. but they do lack soundstage, which is what you'll want for gaming. unfortunately, your budget doesn't allow you to go very far.
grados aren't real "full sized" because they are supra aural. reguardless, they are great cans.

If you can stretch to about 90 dollars, the hd-555s will give you a better soundstage.

Get the AKG K81DJ. I really like it. Works good for most stuff.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was looking at the suggested 'phones and the AKG K81DJ look great. They seem pretty ruggid, and i'm guessing would be better for gaming because of the soundstage issues(as stated). Is my thinking correct here? And again, i'd like to say thankyou. I would be lost without you guys that actually know something lol.
Edit:macromedia posted before I did and I didn't see it. Seems like my thinking wasn't too off? lol

If you can splurge an extra $10:
Grado SR60 ($69)
Depends on what you like to listen to SQ wise. The Grados have an amazing midrange, bass that is not overpowering but is still "there", and sparkly, amazingly detailed highs for the price. IMO, the bass on the grados is plenty for me, and I was a former MDR-71 basshead.

Are the AKGs too big for taking on flights?
Sounds like they do a good job of isolation.
Do they come with a case at all?
Do they stand up to the wear and tear of taking them in and out of a carryon bag (if they don't come with a case)?

K81DJ folds to fit in your hand and seems pretty rugged. Comes only with a drawstring pouch (& screw-on 1/8" to 1/4" adapter).

Thanks for the pic.
Will try it out on the next flight I take.
