I've seen so many different protective coverings on here and right now my iPod is stored in the XremeMac Deluxe iPod Case.

These colored skins are very cool looking and i would like to know the functionality for these things...I've never owned one b4 and am curious to to see what they are like.

So which do you choose: Case or Skins???

I saw the Xtreme case in Hong Kong and that is one good look, high quality case.

Most cases hide the iPod as well as protect it. It could be anything in the case to a casual onlooker.
The majority of silicon sleeves/cases provide protection while still showing off the iPod to varying degrees. You can tell its an iPod as most designs tend to mirror the look of the iPod.

I used a Groove Jacket for some time and found it great for sticking into my pockets - the GJ provided adequate protection for that. Now I have the Xtrememac Deluxe Case and its a well made case - the GJ is now in a drawer.
