I've heard the 55's, and I could say that they have really impressive bass, but so-so treble that can get pretty rolled off. For the price they're very good, but you can do much better.

I haven't seen the FX77 in stores yet. But you can order them online. They look much larger and heavier though. For the FX55, you can get them with volume control or without. I got it without to prevent myself from any problems, if any should occur with the extra wire. I was planning on getting the Panasonic RP-HJE50, but I found these for $24.99 CAD (retails at Best Buy for $49.99).
