after a week of lots of tests i found out the reason for abnormal deletion of "Play counts" file.

and this is weirdest experince which i had about ipod.

as we know ipod saves ratings & play counts to a file called "Play counts". this process is temporary. when you connect your ipod to itune it copy all of your ratings & play counts to permanent database file which called "iTunesDB" & then deletes "Play counts" file.

i had this weird experince that sometimes my ipod didn't save my recently added rates. finally i found out when winamp is running it deletes "Play counts".

i tried this many times and when winamp was running it happned. this is weirdest experince which i had about ipod and winamp.

would you guys please try this matter and post resluts here. try this in two way first when itune is not running and then when itune is running.

i have an 4g photo 60gb latest firmwire version
winamp 5.24
itune 6.0.5.20

anyhow maybe there are some other reasons that causes of abnormal deletion of "Play counts" but this one is proofed at least for me till now.

the solution to this problem is to uninstall "Portable Device Support" plugin in winamp.
