It's been a really lousy day.
My 20G is suddenly unrecognizable to my G4 iMac. It's fully charged. It plays songs. When it's connected to the computer to add a couple of new CDs worth of tunes, it gets to the DO NOT DISCONNECT screen and halts. iTunes doesn't open and it doesn't appear as an icon on my desktop in OS 10.2.6. I tried a reset to no avail. I did a semi-weaselish thing and put the computer to sleep which sent iPod back to the Apple screen and I swiftly unplugged it before it could tell me not to. It's fine. Plays music just like before. But I'm afraid to plug it back into the puter.
Any suggestions, guys? I thought I was pretty good with this little devices, but this one's got me baffled. I can't restore the blasted thing if it's not recognized by the iMac. I'm thinking I'll let the battery do a full and complete drainage and attempt to start over from the AC adaptor. What do you think?
