Cleaning earpieces in IEMS?

Have Ety 4ps, which come with tiny green filters that you either clean or replace as they get dirty. These are located in the area which go into your ears. Do other IEM manufacturers use the same filtering techniques? Or, in other words, how do you clean other brands of IEM phones, or do you???

My UE super.fi 5 pros came with a cleaning tool also. It's a little metal loop connected to a piece of plastic that is suppose to clean whatever is in the earpiece. I havn't used mine yet.
