my friend kill IPOD photo when installed linux or unix on it and gave it to me without HDD.
i have 4G ipod with click and i have question,
can i put the HDD from 4G ipod in IPOD photo?
will ipod photo work?

I believe yes you may use an hdd from the monochrome 4G's to be placed into an iPod Photo.

i put it in IPOD photo but strange sign appeared on IPOD>>the folder with "!" and the text ipod support :(

dum dum dum, you're getting the infamous ! folder sign.
I forgot how but there's a thread floating around here on how to get rid of that. Let me look it up.
edit: couldn't find the link, but they say if you take out the hdd and shake it then put it back in it should work. Believe me I'm only saying from what many success stories in that thread has said but I haven't tried it myself before.
when i pluged it with USB or power supply the IPOD photo with new HDD, it's starting(i heard a sound the HDD clicking,like it want to start)but after that the folder is appearing,it's happening while it's connecting with USB or supply,but when i'm unpluged it it's stops everything :(
P.S. PC can't detect IPOD photo with new HDD :(
