Hi everyone,

My brother just picked up a pair of iLuv headphones for his iPod. He discovered a sticker on the back of the box that read "Warning: Handling the cord on this product may expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling."

What the heck is this about? Is there any cause to be alarmed?

That is a requirement for anything sold in CA that contains any type of lead. It will not hurt you unless you disassemble the headphones and eat them. Probably not even then.
