And I've tried searching the forums for a simple, straightforward answer to ease my concerns.. but with no luck.

I will soon have a nice 2G 20gb iPod and will be using it mainly when in my car.

I just recently purchased a JVC KD-SX9350 (http://www.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/33/16.JPG) mainly because it featured the AUX input on the front of the deck.

So now I'm looking for a simple connection between the iPod and that deck input, and I'm just finding overpriced and unnecessary batches and kits.

Please help.

You just need a patch cable to connect the headphone out of the iPod to the aux-in on the headunit.

You are quite welcome. If possible, I'd like to see some pics of the final setup when it's all done. I'm working on a similar setup in my car, but I'm going to re-route the front aux-in to the rear of the headunit and keep it a little less cluttered.
