I listen to all techno & rap/hip-hop, which is huge on bass. I have already owned the Sony MDRV700. Those were nice and had good bass. I got those for $90. I am also looking at the Skull Candy Skull Crushers which are about $70 which supposedly have good bass. I really dont want to spend more than $100. I also want cans, no buds.
Thanks a lot for any help.

instead of really really pumping sony ex51/71/81 bass, get a "fun" headphone
try either the grado sr60 for $69 or even better, the alessandro ms1 for $99

thanks for the suggestion, but i must ask, what do you mean by a "Fun" headphone?

by "fun" i mean great sounding to our ears, not our minds
some headphones...mainly iem's are very analytical and dry
like you're at a concert but sitting very far back and the curtains aren't up yet. the sound is very true and balanced with instrumental separation but it can be "boring."
grado headphones are a prime example of a fun headphone. some say that they boost frequencies that shouldn't be boosted, making them unrealistic sounding. the sound signature is almost the opposite of what i described earlier.
grados give you a feeling that you are front row, where everything is dynamic and fast.
to get 80% of a grado sr60, buy a pair of koss ksc75 and cut a quarter sized hole in the foams.

If you need ridiculous amounts of bass, then the AKG K26P or K27i may be right for you:

i think impact is better sounding than a long, overbearing monotone

I agree that the MS1 & KSC75 are much better headphones, but the AKGs do have ridiculous amounts of bass.
