I've been listening to the e2c pretty heavily these past few days after gteting them:

- bass didn't sound so good the day i got them (compared to stock buds), but now after experimentation and using the foam tips, they are MUCH better. Much boomier compared to buds, and definately sounds "fuller" due to the isolation. Bass booster makes it even more boomy, but muffles the sound a bit.

- don't notice an amazing difference in clarity between music coded at 128/192. no earthshaking difference even at 320. But it is better, especially the highs.

- great noise isolation.

- more comfortable than stock buds, which is cause i hated how the stock bud wires would touch my face once in awhile.

I was surprised that the music quality wasn't mouth-dropping better than the stockbuds, but despite that, quality is better, and i have no regrets buying these buds.

are you import from a cd?
this may sound a bit stupid, but i've seen it happen before

importing at a higher bitrate means importing from a cd to a bitrate, not just adjusting your settings at converting a 128 kbps file to 192 or 320

but i'm pretty sure you aren't doing that

let the sound sink in your head

you'll soon see that they are much better than stock buds

I agree. Certain songs might not bring out the best in your shures but when you get more accustomed to the sound signature you'll notice how much better they are over the stock buds. Took me about a week. Now I just love my shures lolz.
