View Full Version : Repaired broken nano lcd screen but now...

Ok I broke my ipod nano lcd screen a while ago and i recently just repaired it myself with a new one but now whenever I try to turn on my ipod the only thing that shows up is a white screen. I can hear the click wheel whenever i play with it but i dont see a menu or anything on the screen. Anybody know how to fix this??

Welcome. Did you try using the Updater and restore it? I can't help with what you should do but I suggest you also double check each step you did as well. Also check iPod Hacks and see if they have a tutorial with pictures posted on the site.

You probably didn't seat the zif connector in the slot well enough. I'd imagine the LCD is getting power but not necessarily everything it needs.
If I were you I'd tear it apart again (well carefully of course) and reseat the lcd connector.
I know how hard they are to work on, because I just replaced a broken nano screen last week.
