Been having HUGE problems past few weeks after my sons nano has been charging or using itunes on my HP Media centre machine. Had to reintstall from disaster recovery it got so bad. What seems to be happening is after my son has used his nano on my machine, the pc processor seems to be running constantly after he has disconnected, the only was to stop it is to shut down and reboot. But, during shutdown, windows XP freezes!! I then have to manually power down my PC. This seems to cure the processor problem but then windows gets corrupted after 5-6 times of doing this. Any one else have this problem and found a soluton? I am assuming it is his nano as it only happens after he has connected it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Simon.

Make sure he disconnects the Nano correctly, that he just doesn't unplug it. You either eject it from Itunes, or you can "safely remove hardware" from the Windows taskbar. It may be best to do both. It could be that incorrect disconnect is leaving something running in Task Mgr that uses a lot of your CPU and Windows has no choice but to shut down.

Thanks, I will talk to him this evening and ask him to show me what he actually does.
Thank you.
