Help! I'm clueless!

I dropped my ipod and the unhappy icon showed up, then it swtiched to low battery symbol. After charging it for two days (the first day it said it wasn't charged, so I tried a different outlet), still no response. I've been to apple.com:o , toggled the hold switch and held the select,menu button. I get the apple then it goes right back to the low battery. What do I do????:o

Try putting it into Disk Mode and connecting it to your computer. Simply reset it and when the Apple logo comes up, immediately hold down Select and Play. Then plug it into your computer and see if it works.

If not - then you have either killed your HD or your battery, depending on your situation. If either of those happens, then your iPod is as good as dead.
