Hi and welcome to iLounge.

I'm not sure what you mean by "stacking" tracks, although I'm guessing you're referring to setting up a playqueue?

You can create an on-the-go playlist on the iPod. You'll find this playlist at the bottom of your "Playlists" listing, and when it's empty (by default), it will give you a quick blurb on how to use it.

Basically, you just need to find the tracks, artists, or albums that you want to add to your OTG playlist, and hold down the centre "SELECT" key while they're highlighted. The menu bar should flash quickly, and they will be added to the OTG playlist.

Once you have all the tracks that you're looking for in there, then you would just go and play it like you would any other playlist.

Further, you can either save or clear the OTG playlist by going into it and selecting the appropriate option. Also, your OTG playlist will be saved in iTunes the next time you sync (if you're using automatic synchronization).
