That's a nice review--you can find many more at headfi.org as well. I love the Shure's (they're my choice over the E6's mainly because they are better for activity/out and about than the E6's IMHO), but in all fairness you will find many who prefer the E6's over there as well...

Just a clerical note, but the $12 pair mentioned at Etymotic's site (in that article) is actually a pair of earplugs, not earphones. Big difference....
