I have this shirt.
This shirt has a front pocket.
I put my nano in it.
Anyways, over the course of having my nano in my front pocket, I have dropped it on stone floors, bus floors, rocks, concrete and such- 18 times.
I dont even have a single scratch on the screen, and it works just fine.
How can people all of a sudden up and brick their nanos?

I don't get why people are always warning about having TONS of scratches on the front of their Nanos, but i've owned mine for 1 week now and I have no scratches on the front except for the circle in the middle of the Click Wheel.
Note: I said the "front". The chrome back has a lot of hairline scratches, but you can't really see them unless you hold it up to the light.

Caff-
I only have one scratch on my screen...not a deeply gouged scratch, but enough that it's noticable if you tilt it in the light. I got it from sliding my Nano in and out of the neoprene case I was using at the gym. I took care of that problem by simply covering the small screen part with a piece of Write Right film (the stuff to cover a PDA screen) I cut with an exacto knife. It did the trick...not a sinlge noticeable scratch on the fron.
Now the back......

I had the same thing happen to mine. My screen got scratched while taking it in and out of its case. I am looking at some type of protection to put on that I can use along with my case. Because as much as you try, it will get scratched sooner or later. All it takes it one little piece of dust to get inbetween your screen and a case, or the table, or your desk, and it will scratch.

My nano started acting weird and I don't even know why? Out I.T. guys hard booted it and it's fine now. Do you have a case for yours? I was thinking it started acting weird because I had it in my purse and it might have got to hot in there.
The second you take a new iPod out of its box, I recommend that you put on the clear plastic thin screen guards that stick to the front on rear of you Pod. Once their on, they stay put, even when taking it in and out of cases.
I have always used screen protectos on any of my protable deivces with displays because they scratch. I used to use devices w/o screen protectors and scratches just ruin the display. Who likes staring at a screen with scratches and other stuff on it?
