Just wondering how many people leave the screen protector off. I've just got the iSkin, and while reasonably pleased, I can't get on with the screen protector. It's too small, it causes the iSkin itself to not sit comfortably around the buttons, and worst of all despite hours of trying I can't get rid of the air bubbles!
I'm assuming that should I get one or two scratches on my unprotected screen, I should be able to polish them off?
If you find it to be a problem you can get a pda screen protector and try that.

The PDA screen protectors are usually just like stickers aren't they?

I used a piece of PDA screen protector with the iSkin while I was waiting an eternity for my actual screen protector to some from iSkin.com. The brand I used was "Fellowes WriteRight". I found it to work very nicely.. no bubbles and no scratches.

yeah, i had the same problem with my screen protector, to not get bubles i just don't point and poke at the screen. and when it does get a buble just stick your finger through the top of the screen and then just let it fall back down, resets all teh bubbles
i don't use the screen protector. it was just more of a hassle for me than anything else. when i'm not using the ipod it is in the maclear case as well as the exo... and i haven't scratched the screen while using it. besides, brasso does wonders if you need it once in a while.

The Fellowes brand uses an adhesive rather than static or other methods to stick to the screen. Have you experienced any sticky residues from the WriteRight after removing it? There is a fellow iPodder having troubles here, but I don't know what brand of screen protector was used:

Also, they make different sizes. Which ones are big enough to cut down for the iPod screen?

I don't use my screen protector. Too much of a hassle. And I'm almost positive it'll fall off someday.

I use Fellowes WriteRight on my Visor Prism and have never had trouble with adhesive residue on that, at least.

There was no residue at all after peeling off the WriteRight. I'm not sure what size it was exactly. The sheet I used was given to me from someone who bought a package of the stuff for his PDA. One sheet was enough to cover the iPod and the LCD on my digital camera, with some left over.

Did you notice if it interferred at all w/ the LCD for you digicam? I was thinking about trying it out, but wasn't sure how clear it would be. I've also seen people selling one's on ebay for specific cameras, but I was thinking it was just like that stuff, but cut specifically for a camera.

Get an iSkin eXo 2 case. The screen protector is not soft rubber and fits in place perfectly at all times. The screen protector doesn't interfere with lining the case up properly either.
