ok... i have seen like the belkin, and the sik IMP... well im after something like that.

I have an older aftermarket deck in my car, and i dont want to upgrade. my deck has aux inputs and i like using my ipod controls on the unit so i dont care to have functionality of the ipod threw the deck. what i have now is just a 1/8 jack to rca adapter for my tunes. the pros of this setup: simple, easy, cheep Cons: no charger, headphone jack is getting loose, and if i hit a speed but the ipod pauses becasue it thinks i unpluged the cord. if forget to turn the ipod off when i get out of the car, the ipod batt dies :o .

what i want is simple. basicly just like a sik imp but more preniment. i want a sleek install just a ipod dock cable by my cupholder so i can plug the ipod in, and roll.

here is a pic in paint of what im thinking.

you see its simple.
- the RCAs go to the deck
- the dock connecter goes to the ipod
- and the red / black / blue wires are for power.
> red +12v
> Black -12v
> blue: remote turn on from deck to turn on and off ipod. (optional, i guess)

see, awsome isnt it. im sure someone has makes it. its just tooo simple. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

ok, so i have managed to answer my own question with some more searching....

with this http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pieunipod.html

although with that pluged in will i still control the ipod with the ipod controls?
or when i plug that in will i be prompted with an apple logo, and just be stuck on a playlist?

and i can only find the PIE enterface in some online stores i have never shoped at, anyone know if cardomain, or crutchfield carry simmuliar products???
thanks.
