I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse and I am looking to buy a mount for my ipod because its just sitting in my cup holder now. I can't easily see what playing or use the controls. A cup holder mount would not work for me because it would get in the way of shifting. Will a vent mount like the Arkon CM160-W work with my vents in my car?

Heres how my vents look in my car:

Thanks.

Perhaps you'd be better off with the Arkon CM-925 pedestal cradle. It attaches to a seat rail.

Thanks for your reply.

I noticed that, that mount attaches to the passenger seat rail. Does it get in the way of a passenger sitting in the passenger seat?

No, not really. I have some photos at home. PM me if you would like to see them.

I noticed from your picture of the CM925 that there are little feet at the bottom of the cradle. Are those feet adjustable so they could hold on to the dock connector? I would like to be able to just put the ipod in the cradle and go without physically connecting the dock connector. Thanks.

No, the feet are wider than the dock connector, but I'm sure that there is some way you could "mod" it.

I'll think I will order the CM925 and then try to "mod" it. Thanks for all your help.
