Podcast download resumes in iTunes

A simple question which I haven't been able to find an answer to anywhere else...

If a podcast download in iTunes is interrupted, in my experience it has to start from the beginning all over again. Is there something I am doing wrong or are podcast downloads in iTunes not able to resume from where they left off?

If they are not able to resume, is it possible to integrate an application such as getright such that I can still do my podcast downloads with iTunes but that they resume if my connection drops out?

even for me, most downloads do not resume after they stop abruptly because of internet being disconnected.

One of the menus in iTunes (File, Edit, etc.) has a selection that says "Check for Purchases". That should pick up where you left off downloading any podcasts that got cut off.
