iPod Continually Resetting, Not Being Detected by Windows

Last night I accidently knocked my iPod out of the USB port without ejecting it in itunes first, and the do not disconnect screen didn't go away, so i reset it, now it continually resets and my computer won't detect it.

If you didn't the first time, plus it in to the wall socket with the AC adapter and then reset it. sometimes, that snaps it out of a funk
