Play one song and stop??

I thought I posted this question about an hour ago but can 't find it ... sorry if this is redundant. I did a search to no avail.

Is there any way to get my 4G iPod to play one song and stop????

(apart from hitting the pause button).

Put it in a playlist on it's own and don't set the playlist to repeat.

No that is not a practical solution. I have over 150 songs in my setlist / playlist that I want to use one at a time so I can choose each song on-the-fly. Using it for backing tracks in a solo-acoustic show.
